Mimi’s Cakes came into fruition when the founder baked a birthday cake for her daughter; parents at the party were astounded by the presentation and finish of the cake, but more importantly with the taste. That’s where the Mimi’s story started…

‘Baking is in my blood'. I remember hours spent in the kitchen with my mum as a child, making huge batches of cupcakes and biscuits for family and neighbours. Looking back they may not have been as elaborately decorated as my cakes are now but they always tasted delicious and one never seemed enough!! Having become a mother myself, baking became the perfect ‘Mimi and Mummy’ pastime especially on cold, rainy Sunday afternoons. My home has become renowned for the delicious aroma of freshly baked goodies. Mimi and I often experiment with different recipes, ingredients and designs.

Our passion for baking together with our personal service has increased demand not just for birthday cakes, but cakes for every other occasions and of course Mimi's speciality cupcakes.
